The 13TH ANNUAL WHIPPET TRACK & FIELD INVITATIONAL presented by NEW BALANCE will be held on Saturday, April 27th starting at 9:00 AM at Downingtown West High School.
NEW BALANCE Running will be on site with athlete giveaways, try on shoes, and more!

Entry Limits for Varsity Division:
- 8 athletes in the 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1600m
- 3 athletes in the 100/110 Hurdles
- 2 relays per team
- Top 30 Verified Marks per gender will be accepted in the Field Events.
- Top 15 Verified Marks per gender will be accepted in the 3200m.
Minimum Standards for Varsity Races:
Varsity Boys 100m Minimum Standard 13.24
Varsity Girls 100m Minimum Standard 16.24
Varsity Boys 1600m Minimum Standard 5:30
Varsity Girls 1600m Minimum Standard 6:30
Varsity Boys 3200m Minimum Standard: 11:30
Varsity Girls 3200m Minimum Standard: 14:00
For running events, we will have a paddock area. Athletes should report to the paddock where we will set up each heat prior to the start of each race.
JV / Novice Division:
Novice 100m Dash: The top 120 for each gender will be accepted. No Blocks.
(Novice Boys 100m Minimum Standard: 17.24)
(Novice Girls 100m Minimum Standard: 20.24)
Novice 1600m Run: There will be two heats per gender.
(Novice Boys 1600m Minimum Standard: 6:00)
(Novice Girls 1600m Minimum Standard: 7:00)
Location:
The meet will be held at the Downingtown West High School 8-Lane Track & Field facility. The entry fee for each team will be $350.00 (boys and girls combined) or $175.00 for each team of boys and girls.
** If you have a volunteer coach that would like to work the meet and get paid please email sburns@dasd.org - we'd love to have knowledgeable, passionate coaches working the events.
Chester County Racing Services (www.runccrs.com) will be providing quick, accurate FAT (live) results. Entries for this meet will be through www.pa.milesplit.com. All PIAA rules will apply for this meet including the uniform rule. Concessions and t-shirts will be sold throughout the meet.
This meet is sanctioned for PA, DE, NJ, NY, MD high schools.
