PTFCA INDOOR TRACK FESTIVAL

Sunday, January 26,

1:00pm at Ott Track & Field Center

 

The Pennsylvania Track and Field Coaches Association proudly announces its 1st annual Indoor Track Festival.This event will be held at the University of Pennsylvania Ott Center's brand new 200 meter, 6 banked lane oval with 8 straight lanes on the infield and promises to be a spectacular event for all levels of competition. This year's meet will be run at metric distances except for the field events and the Mile run. 

We will limit the number of competitors in each event.We will accept the top 18 entrants in the 200, 400, 800, mile, 4 x 200, 4 x 400, 24 entrants in the 60m dash and 60m hurdles.The 3000 meter run, 4X800 and the DMR will be limited to the top 15 entrants. Field events will be limited to the top 18 entrants. Each team will be allowed only one competitor per event. Competitors will be allowed to compete in four events. Seeding will be by committee whose decision is final. No substitution of competitors will be allowed. Also, no food, or drinks will be allowed except water as per the Ott Center's instructions.  The Ott Center does have a concession area.

Entry Fee: $15 per individual per event, $40 per relay with a maximum of $200 per boys or girls team. Acceptances will be posted on the PTFCA website on Monday, January 20, following a seeding meeting. NO ENTRY FEES WILL BE RETURNED IN THE EVENT OF REJECTION. All entry fees should be paid online thru Mile Split.

Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top five competitors in each event. No team score will be kept.

Equipment: " or shorter pyramid spikes will be permitted. Blocks, provided by Ott Center can be used in the 60m hurdles and dash, no other events. Only Ott's Center blocks will be permitted.Entrants in the shot put MUST bring their own indoor shot which will be inspected prior to competition.

Timing/uniforms: FinishLynx fully automatic timing. Each competitor must wear their official school uniform. The decision of the meet referee concerning uniforms will be final. PIAA, PTFCA, and National Federation rules will be in effect.

Important: Each team will be required to provide one person to help officiate the meet. You MUST email Mike Kelly (m-lkelly@hotmail.com) with your officiating request by January 20th or you will be assigned a job based on need. All teams must clean-up their area before leaving.

Closing of entries: Entries must be submitted via MileSplit Online by Sunday, January 19, 2025 at 11:59 PM. Checks are to be made payable to "PTFCA".

Athletes and Coaches may enter the facility at 12:00pm.

Special note: This meet is open only to PA High Schools. Athletes must be in grades 9 thru 12. No 8th graders or 5th year seniors permitted.

Spectators:Penn will be charging an admission.Price TBD.There are stands for spectators only.No food or drinks permitted except water.

Order of Events: All events will run one after the other. Athletes must clerk in when the event is called or be scratched. No substitution of athletes will be permitted.

FIELD EVENTS: Begin promptly at 1:00

Girls and Boys Pole Vault - separate pits  

Girls and Boys Long Jump - separate pits - 3 attempts, top 6 to finals

Girls Shot Put followed by Boys Shot Put - 3 throws, no finals

Girls and Boys High Jump - after 60 dash - separate pits

TRACK EVENTS - Begin at 1:00 PM. We will run each event followed by the next. All events will be girls followed by boys
