Nicole Smith, the McDowell scoring machine, churned out points in her penultimate district championships. Her McDowell teammates also qualified all three relays. Teammate Alexandra Acker, just a freshman, cleared 11-9 to win the Pole Vault and qualify for her first state meet. McDowell\'s girls tallied 177 points, 57 better than their nearest competition.
