Notes and Schedules
Everybody will be able to compete
Athletes may compete in no more than 4 events
Running events- Girls will go first, then Boys
Times will be recorded with FAT timing thanks to Parkland Staff.
Declarations for the 400 will be done during the 800, and declarations for the 200 will be done during the 1600.
Those not declaring will be scratched.
Declarations will occur at the table at the finish line.
Hip numbers needed for 800 & 1600
Athletes should listen for calls and report to the starting line or the field event site at the first call. As always, running events will take precedence over field events.
Field Events are Open Pit, but will follow the order below:
Coaches will help run the field events ( kids should not practice until a coach is present)
Field Events - The following will begin at 11:00am
Pole Vault - Boys and Girls combined - Start at low height and move up (verification sheets needed)
High Jump - Boys and Girls combined - Start at low height and move up
Boys Long Jump - Pit 1 - Girls Long Jump Pit 2; 11:00 to 12:00; three jumps only
Boys Triple Jump - Pit 1- Girls Triple Jump Pit 2; 12:00 to 1:00; three jumps only
Girls Discus - Boys Javelin - open pit simultaneously, 11:00 to 12:00
Competitors will enter their names on a list and will have space to warm up before being called: Three throws, no finals (Please follow crosswalks up and back to the Discus and Javelin area)
Girls Shot Put, and Boy Shot Put - open pit - 12:00 to 1:00 Shot Put will take place after Discus and Javelin finish at the Stadium. We will use two circles, one for girls and one for boys. Three throws, no finals
Running Event Order - Girls first - Boys second - begin at 11:00am
