Coaches and Athletic Directors:
Franklin Regional cross country will be hosting a Middle School invitational on Friday, September 11th, 2026 at Shields Farm in Delmont PA 223 Overly Ln, Delmont, PA 15626, . We would like to invite your middle school runners in grades 7 and 8 to attend this invitational. There will only be middle school races at this invite, ensuring the MS kids are the star of the show. This will be our fourth year of the invite, after a very successful meet in the past with over 400 athletes participating.
The course will be a flat start with two hills at the midpoint of the race, then back to a flat finish. All races will be 3K (1.86 miles) and will be well-marked with cones and white paint. It will be a course with little to no repetition and will be extremely spectator-friendly. Concessions and t-shirts will be available for purchase as well. Last year's results can be viewed here
- GingerbreadMan Timing Co. will be providing timing for the event and live results will be available as the races complete (unless something unforeseen happens)
Franklin Regional Fall Classic Schedule
Race Schedule:
Friday, September 11th 2026
Course opens: 12 noon
Coaches meeting: 2:00 pm
Boys Varsity race: 3 pm
Girls Varsity race: 3:30 pm
Combined JV race 4:00 pm. The course can accommodate a large race so we should be able to run all JV runners in one race. If we have a large number of entries in the JV we may separate into two races, however we will communicate this prior to race day.

Entry Fee:
$100.00 for Girl's Middle School Team (First 8 girl Runners)
$100.00 for Boys Middle School Team (First 8 boy Runners)
$4.00 for each additional runner beyond eight for each gender (unlimited entries)
$15.00 for individuals to enter without a full team.
To keep costs reasonable, larger teams, (teams entering over 40 kids combined between all races) will have a maximum fee of $300.00 and they can enter as many runners as they wish. We do our best to charge just enough in entry fees to support the costs of putting the races on. If your athletic department raises concerns on the cost, feel free to reach out and we will work with you on a reduced fee. We want to build the sport and get kids excited to race.

Results will be posted on the Gingerbread Man Running Company website and on Penn Track once the races are complete.
Awards: We will have a team champion award along with race medals for each varsity race. The top 20 in each varsity race will medal as well as the top 5 boys and top 5 girls in the jv races. If we have an increase in participants we will add additional medals. The medals are custom medals that the kids tend to love.
Parking: We have worked on improving parking and increasing availability of spots. Busses will remain on site in case of inclement weather and spectator parking will be adjacent to the race in the grass field.
T-shirts will be sold and will include a Custom Fall Classic Design. We will accept cash and Venmo on site for concessions and t-shirts.
If possible, please print and return the portion below with your payment so we can keep track of who has paid and how many kids we can expect.
