2026 BUCKS COUNTY LEAGUE SOUTH DIVISION

MIDDLE SCHOOL TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

DATE: Wednesday, May 27th, 2026     RAIN DATE: Thursday, May 28th, 2026

LOCATION: Harry S Truman High School            START TIME: 3:00 PM SHARP

COST: $250 per team (check only) made payable to Bristol Township School District and received no later than May 13th.

NOTE: Fees to enter the meet are used to pay for the awards, FAT official, PIAA officials, and other helpers by and on the day of the meet. It is imperative that payment be received by May 13th and suggested that Athletic Directors have paperwork submitted to have the check cut by no later than the end of April. One of the major issues in the past has been teams not paying until days or weeks after the meet had already been run or not at all.

RULES AND INFORMATION

1. This meet is restricted to 7th and 8th grade only. There will be a maximum of 2 competitors per school in each individual event.

2. All running events will be done on FAT (fully automatic timing).

     a. All places will be done strictly by time for each track event. No trials and finals.

     b. Heats will be seeded according to time submitted on pa.milesplit.com. If you do not put in the time, the athlete will be put in the slowest heat.

      c. Due to the nature of the electric timing any runner that changes lanes and/or heats in an event that assigns lanes will be disqualified.

3. Medals will be given for first through third and ribbons for fourth thru sixth in each event. A trophy will be awarded for the overall winner of the tournament based on points. Points will be awarded in the following manner:

1st- 10 points, 2nd-8 points, 3rd-6 points, 4th-4 points, 5th-2 points, 6th-1 point

4. All event registration will be done on pa.milesplit.com.

     a. Information including event closure date to register athletes will be sent to coaches via email when your registration form and check have been received and the timer has created the event in pa.milesplit.com.

     b. Please register your athletes within the proper weight classifications to keep things fair. If a coach or official thinks a person is way outside the boundary for weight a scale will be on sight to resolve the issue.

      c. Each athlete may participate in a maximum of 4 events but no more than 3 track events. They may only participate in one 4X100 relay.

      d. Changes may be made the day of the meet. The athlete needs to know who they are replacing when they are checking in. All seeding is final if an athlete is being replaced.

5. Long jump and shot put competitors will get 3 attempts each. Girls shot put should weigh 6 pounds and the boys should weigh 4 kilos (not 8 pounds). Starting height for high jump will be 48 for boys and 40 for girls. The bar will be raised 2 inches at a time until 3 competitors are left and then one inch thereafter.

6. Girls will start field events at 3:00 sharp and wrap up by 4:00. Boys will start field events at 4:00 and wrap up by no later than 5:00.

7. Volunteers may be needed to help as a fly zone judge during the 4x100s. I will ask for help if necessary at the beginning of the meet .

8.  If there are any questions you can reach out to me personally. Here is my information.
