A senior and star athlete at Southmoreland High School died early Thursday evening in a violent two-vehicle crash on Route 119 in East Huntingdon Township.
Christopher Kiefer, 17, of Scottdale, was reportedly driving at a high rate of speed when his vehicle struck the rear of a car driven by James Pieffer, of Mars, Butler County, just before 6 p.m.
