What to watch for (1/9 WKND): Hispanic Games, 2 Ohio meets, Lavino, DVG #3, TFC #4

In the girls shot put, PA#2 Tori McKinley leads a strong field. On the boys' side, Evan Blaire of Hickory will make his season debut in a competition that includes some of PA's best (but no Jordan Geist). Hempfield's Dom Marshall and Ohio star Jake Wickey will also get in the circle. All of those names will also be in the weight throw.

The boys' pole vault will be a solid competition. Hempfield's Hayden Fox and PA#2 Adam Gamber, will face off with McDowell's Caleb Sanford, who is making his 2016 debut. Beaver Area's Kyle Grimm and Baldwin Dave Johnston will also look to get in on the action.

In the jumps, PA#3 Gina Cuneo will comepte in the high jump and Greensburg Salem's Julia Howard will compete in the triple jump, where she is PA#3.

In the girls' 1600 meters, we'll see a pair of season debuts from Vincentian Academy's Marianne Abdalah and Mout Lebanon's Kelsey Potts. The boys' 1600 meter will feature Seneca Valley's Mike Kolor (PA#1 Mile) and Sewickley Academy's Griffin Mackey (competing unattached). Kolor is also entered in the 800. Mackey is also entered in the 3200 meters.

Claire Dougherty of Mount Lebanon (fourth at indoor states, fifth at outdoor states last year) will run the 800 against Abdalah and Hickory's Lexi Bible.
