A few boys teams will stat their race weekends early at the Knight Invitational at North Penn.
LaSalle will bring some of its top athletes stretching across a number of different events. In the sprints, Charles Headen, Winston Eubanks, Chris Della Donna, and Kyle Johnson will be threats in the 100. All but Della Donna will double back in the 200. In the 100, St. Joseph's Prep's Isaiah Ritchie and D'Andre Swift be solid challengers. Then in the 200, St. Joe's Prep's Miles Green will look to continue his great start to his outdoor season.
The 400 is stacked with many guys that will look to have medals around their necks at states in late May. Abington's Isiah Smith, Penn Wood's Ndiaga Seck and Kenneth Johnson, St. Joe's Prep's Robert Dupell, Upper Darby's Jared Carter, and Quakertown's Brett Wolfinger among others. In the hurdles, Penn Wood's Sekou Kanneh is entered in both the 110 and 300. He's PA#1 in the 300 hurdles.
The 800 will have a number of guys with sub-2 potential. St. Joe's Prep's Stephen McClellan, LaSalle's Patrick Grant and Quakertown's Hudson Delisle will lead the way. In the 1600, there are a host of LaSalle guys, including Grant, Evan Addison, Brendan Price, Frank Livolsi, Eddie Goebel, and Stephen Paul. Also look out for North Penn's Brendan O'Toole. Goebel, Livolsi, and Paul are all also entered in the 3200.
In the jumps (long, triple, and high), LaSalle's Alex Sislo will be the one to watch. He's already had a great start to his season and he'll look to continue that on Thursday. LaSalle's Noah Walker will be favored in both the shot put and discus. In the javelin, look out for Hatboro-Horsham's Tommy Haas, who sits at PA#6 currently.
There should be some hot relays too. In the 4x100m LaSalle, Upper Darby, and North Penn will be the favorites. In the 4x400, Abington, North Penn, Upper Darby and Penn Wood will battle it out in what should be a very close race. Those same four teams will have a race in the 4x800 as well.
