AA Boys' Shot Put

After they duel in the discus on Friday, Saturday will bring
a shot put battle between the two top seeds, Joey Mundell of Schuylkill Valley and Evan Blaire of Hickory. Blaire has the better season best, throwing
62-7 in April, while Mundell is just slightly off that, throwing 61-3.75 at the
Shaner Meet. Mundell, like in the discus, is the defending state champ, but
Blaire has proven more than up to the task with his big 2016.
Blaire's Hickory teammate Tyler Bishop should contend, as well. Schuylkill Haven's Noah Fritz is the PA-AA#4 with a season best of 54-5.5, and he'll be in the mix. Oley Valley's Jacob Gieringer will be one to watch in the field.
