District 3 Boys Team Breakdown: How good is Carlisle?; York Suburban in AA, Camp Hill in A

D3-AA Boys Team Preseason Rankings

York Suburban cleaned up at districts last year, putting five in the top 15 and winning with just 45, 120 points ahead of second place. They went on to take second in a very close race with Dallas afte YS won in 2014. They surely want that title back, though it won't be easy.

Dallas returns almost its entire squad, and teams like Grove City and Holy Ghost will be there to supply a challenge. York Suburban loses two seniors from last year's team, including top guy Donovan Mears. But sophomore Jarrett Raudensky and junior Bryce Ohl should be in line for big seasons and even contend for individual district crowns. Peter Wagner will be one to watch as well. A strong four and five will prove critical on the state level for York Suburban.

While York Suburban is heavily favored for the win, the race will be on for one of the final two spots for states. Wyomissing Area loses the 2015 D3-AA champ in Jack DiCintio, but they do return Joe Cullen and Matthew Driben, who will be ones to watch.

Oley Valley returns its entire top five from last year. They were tenth last year in the district, but with a strong group of returners, led by David Maloney and Elijah Velazquez, they will be in the conversation this year for sure.

Boiling Springs and East Pennsboro were third and fourth respectively last year. Both teams lost some key seniors from their'15 teams, but they may have it in them to rebuild for a good run this year. Boiling Springs qualified as a team to states last year.

Who else can get themselves into contention? The compeititon will be heated with a fairly open field after York Suburban.
