  • 2015 Girls Champion: Kiele Riefenstahl (Saucon Valley) - 18:53
  • 2015 Girls Team Champion: Northwestern Lehigh - 76 points (won on sixth runner)
  • 2015 Boys Champion: Joe Espinal (Wilson) - 16:14
  • 2015 Boys Team Champion: Holy Ghost Prep - 63 points

GIRLS PREVIEW: Last year, there was a great battle between Kiele Riefenstahl of Saucon Valley, Rasia Kochmaruk of Liberty, and Katie Dammer of Abington Heights. We could see a rematch between these three to open up their respective seasons on Friday. It was Riefenstahl, in her first ever high school XC race, that took the win last year. Can she repeat? Dammer had a fantastic track season and she'll be one to watch in this race. Kochmaruk is the veteran of the bunch and may have the experience to get it done.

In the team race, Northwestern Lehigh edged out Abington Heights with a better sixth runner last year. Both teams have states aspirations this year and it should be another close race.

BOYS PREVIEW: Holy Ghost Prep picked up a convincing win here last year. One of AA's top teams in the state, will look to start its season off right. Callahan Lennon was a close second to Joe Espinal of Wilson last year. Espinal is graduated and Lennon will be the favorite for the early-season win. Notre Dame-Green Pond was strong last season. They have a young squad that ran at this meet last year. If they are here this time around, look for a strong effort.
