Boys' PCL Championships Recap
In an intense battle, the LaSalle boys retained the PCL crown, edging out Cardinal O'Hara by two points, winning 30-32.
Up front, Ryan James of O'Hara took the win in 16:09. He was second to teammate Rob Morro last year. LaSalle's Evan Addison gave a good challenge to James and took second in 16:18. After that is where the race really got going.
O'Hara's Gavin Inglis was third and LaSalle's Stephen Paul was fourth, passing O'Hara's Patrick James late in the race. Patrick James ended up fifth. Roman Catholic's Sean Brown broke up the party to finish sixth and then LaSalle took the next three spots with Brendan Price, Quinn O'Neill and freshman Vincent Twomey.
In a close one, the Explorers took the win with some solid depth. But O'Hara will get another chance next week against their rivals at the District 12 Championships on the same course.
