Class-A

A newcomer will look to crash the party in Class-A. Loyalsock's Isabel Sagar transferred from Texas and, after a big performance at the Shikellamy Boosters Classic, she's become the favorite to win a district crown. Warrior Run's Tori Ross is the defending champion, and she'll be looking to repeat, though Sagar will make that difficult.

Hannah Corson of Wyalusing Valley, Haley Scopelliti of Southern Columbia, Karli Moyer of Northeast Bradford, and Randi Jennings of Canton will be among the other individuals vying for some of the five state spots.

In the team race, a handful of teams will be looking to grab just one state qualifier, down from two last season. Southern Columbia are the defending champs, after narrowly defeating Northeast Bradford last season. The favorites look to be Troy, though. They won the NTL title by just two points over Northeast Bradford. Canton, Warrior Run, and Southern Columbia will look to challenge in what should be a fierce compeititon.

Class-AA

In our preseason preview, we talked about how Danville hopes of keeping their seven-year long District 4 winning streak were in jeopardy. But like usual, they have retooled and are the strong strong favorites to make it eight in a row. They've look strong at Foundation and Shikellamy, and will be in the hunt for a podium position at the state meet. Their 1:08 1-5 gap has been crucial, with Elaina Klinger leading the way.

Up front, though, we have the 1-2 punch from Selinsgrove. Ashley Blair has won a pair of races this year and looks to be the favorite in AA. She her D4 opponents at Shikellamy a few weeks ago. Her teammate Brittany Carnathan shouldn't be far behind her. Selinsgrove will look to get that second and final state qualifying spot.

Mifflinsburg will be looking at that state spot, too. Jillian Miller has had a strong season to lead that squad. Audrey MacPherson, second at this meet last year, will be called on for a high finish to try and get Mifflinburg to Hershey.

Lewisburg will be another squad with a shot at that qualifier.
