Boys' D11-AAA Recap
Seth Slavin has his district title. The senior was second last year to Easton's Kevin Lapsansky, but the crown was all his this time around and he left no doubt about it. He clocked a 16:09, though he was looking for a sub-16. But he was still pleased with his AAA title. At next week's state meet he should be a major factor near the front.
Slavin's teammate, Gabe Sullivan, was second for a PV 1-2 finish. Sullivan timed in at 16:30, beating out the Parkland pair of Sam Morgan (third) and Hailemichael Geiger (fourth). Parkland took the team race with 49 points to repeat at D11 champions.
In the surprise of the day, Southern Lehigh earned the second and final state qualifying spot. They fit their top five between spots 7 and 17 to score just 60 points. Thomas Matsumura was SL's top finisher in seventh in a time of 16:44.
