2015 Championship Girls' Results

While Madeleine Davison was scoring the upset win at Van Cortlandt Park in New York on the same day, other top PA girls were making noise a little further upstates.

After dropping a heartbreaker to Pennsbury's Olivia Sargent at the PIAA State Championships a few weeks prior, Downingtown West junior Aislinn Devlin was ready for some redemption. Devlin and Sargent, like they were in their two previous races, were step for step for much of the NXN-NE race, breaking away from the rest of the pack.

Devlin gained some separation on the state champ and rode that to the finish, winning in 17:54. Sargent was second in 18:06. It was great race for Devlin and signaled what would be a very big day for her a week later in Portland. Watch an interview after the race with Devlin:

After the top two, there was plenty of PA. Unionville's Anna Juul continued her fantastic junior season, finishing third in 18:23.

Pennsbury took the next two spots with Hannah Molloy in third and Mary Webb in fourth. Meri Twomey's 24th place finish and Maddie Sauer's 38th place finish, solidified a huge win for the Falcons. Pennsbury scored just 59 points, beating out second place La Salle Academy by 66 points. Watch an interview below with Sargent after her team's big win.
