2015 Boys' Championship Results

Downingtown West dominated in Pennsylvania and abroad in 2015. With the addition of brother Jaxson and Josh Hoey, the Whippets became the team to watch for at NXN-NE against some strong teams from Massachushetts and New Jersey.

Downingtown West didn't disappoint at Bowdoin Park.

Despite an off day from usual #1 Jaxson Hoey, the Whippets left no doubt about who was the top team in the Northeast region.

Josh Hoey led the way with a seventh place finish and Henry Sappey was far behind placing tenth. Jaxson ended up 22nd overall, still provided crucial points. Ryan Barton (36th) and Ben Ryherd (39th) rounded out the top five for West.

They scored 97 points for the win, 43 points ahead of second place Christian Brothers Academy from New Jersey. Watch the awards' ceremony below where Downingtown West receives its award. Skip to about the 3:00 mark to see the Whippets:

While Downingtown West's win wasn't particularly shocking, the surprise of the meet from a PA perspective was the effort of Kent Hall. The Unionville senior was the top finisher from Pennsylvania, coming across sixth overall in 16:01.

2015 was Hall's first and only season of high school cross country. He was eighth in District 1, 11th in the state, but sixth in the region. A week later, he'd dazzle again in Portland at Nike Cross Nationals.
