DVGTCA Indoor Meet #4 Preview

Friday could mark the long-awaited season debut of Chanel Brissett of Cheltenham. We have yet to see the nation's #1 ranked returning hurdler coming into the season and USC recruit, but Brissett is entered in the 60 meter dash for the DVGTCA meet at Lehigh.

The PA#1 time is 7.73 and Brissett will likely be gunning to take that down.

In the 60-meter hurdles, look for Perkiomen Valley's Christina Warren, who has been on an absolute tear this season. Warren is the top ranked 55-meter hurdler and second ranked 55-meter hurdler. She's also entered in the long jump, an event where she's ranked second in the state.

In the 200 meters, we'll see Thelma Davies of Girard College. Davies opened up her season with a spectacular performance at the Hispanic Games, where she went PA#1 in both the 55 and 200 meters. The sophomore sprinter will be the heavy favorite in the one-lapper in a field that also includes Upper Dublin's Madison Langley-Walker, Methacton's Lauren Prusacki, and Chichester's Nierra Berry.

There's a strong field for the mile that includes Cheltenham's MaryGrace Rittler, Lansdale Catholic's Kayla Connelly, Harriton's Tasha Greene, Pennsbury's Lizzy Kirk and Villa Joseph Marie's Katie Irelan. Syndi Stovall will lead the field in the 400 meters, while North Penn's Mikaela Vlasic is the favorite in the 800 meters.

Moving to the field, Souderton's Moira O'Malley is entered in the high jump, where she's tied for the PA#2 spot. In the shot put, Janese Lynch of Neumann Goretti will look to improve upon her own PA#1 45-4.5.
