10 PA#1s as Keystone Staters Shine in Staten Island: Ocean Breeze HS Invitational Recap

Ocean Breeze Invitational - BOYS DISTANCE RECAP

In the mile, LaSalle's Evan Addison won the mile in great fashion. Addison held off a hard-charging Jordan Brannan of Colts Neck (NJ) for the win in a time of 4:19.25, a PA#3. Addison has asserted himself as a clear threat to place high at indoor states this year (watch that race above!). Haverford's James Abrahams was third in 4:23.62. O'Hara's Ryan James won his heat in the mile in a time of 4:24.71 to place fifth overall and LaSalle's Brendan Price was right behind James, taking sixth overall and second in that heat in a 4:25.55

Some strong performances were put down in various meets in the 800 meters. Central Dauphin East's Luke Everidge had the top PA time, winning his heat in 1:57.18 for third overall. Wissahickon's Cameron Christopher was fourth overall in 1:57.37, Owen J. Roberts' Liam Conway was fifth in 1:57.44, and CB East's Marc Motter had a huge PR to take sixth in 1:57.55.

In the invitational 2 mile, we saw some eight of the top ten times in the event. Pleasant Valley's Seth Slavin was the top finisher, taking third in 9:28.05. He takes over the PA#1 spot. Cheltenham's Will Griffen was fourth in the invitational section in 9:30.41 and Council Rock North's Ryan Campbell was sixth in 9:31.23.
