DVGTCA Indoor Meet #6
***Entries close Friday afternoon and this preview may not contain some entires***
The Del Val girls will head back to Lehigh on Friday night for another addition of the DVGTCA meet calendar. Let's delve into what to watch for.
The DMR should be a good battle. There are some strong seed times from a number of teams that put forth strong XC seasons. The PIAA-AAA champs Cardinal O'Hara will matchup with Perkiomen Valley, Owen J. Roberts, Strath haven, and West Chester Henderson. Expect some quick state qualifiers there.
Girard College's Thelma Davies will lead the list of entries in the 60 meters. She's the PA#1 in the 55 meters and then reigning state champ (also a national freshman record holder), so it's awesome exciting when she steps on the track. Swenson's Jada Smith, Perk Valley's Christina Warren, Cheletenham's Ciani Fleming, Upper Darby's Michelle Jones-Brown, Neumann Goretti's Mykala Perry, and Chichester's Nierra Berry will make for a very quick race.
The 200 meters should also be a great duel. Paul Robeson's Tikki Wise is the top seed, but Berry, Neumann Gorretti's Sydni Townsend, CB South's Lydia Fielding, Norristown's Jonae Cook, and Methacton's Lauren Prusacki are all entered and this should be a good one. In the 400 meters, the one to watch is current PA#2 Bria Barnes of Cheltenham.
The girls' 800 is fairly open. Watch for Downingtown East's Caroline Roumpz, Cheltenham's Arianna Wallace, Pennsbury's Lizzy Kirk, and Wissahickon's Hayley Ross in the field.
Abington's Kelly Jawork sits at PA#10 in the mile and the senior is the top seed in the mile on Friday. Strath Haven's Isabel Cardi, West Chester East's Allyson Clarke, Boyertown's Gillian Kasitz, and Downingtown East's Lexi VanBlunk should over a more than formidable challenge to Jawork.

Expet a good battle in the high jump between two of the state's top in the event: Souderton's Moira O'Malley and CB South's Valerie Przekop. Przekop sits at PA#2, while O'Malley is at PA#5. In the long jump, watch for Methacton's Rainah Dunham and Perkiomen Valley's Rebekah Bondi. Bondi will return in the triple jump, where she'll matchup with Cheltenham's Shannon Nixon and CR South's Emily Yemm.
In the pole vault, watch for Springside Chestnut Hill's Elizabeth Jefferson and Wissahickon's Cala Lejman. Both are ranked inside the top 15 in one of the state's deepest events.
