Armory Track Invitational - Friday Recap
The Penn Wood girls came to New York Friday night with a mission: take back the PA#1. They did just that and also walked away from the first day of competition at the Armory Track Invitational with a win. Penn Wood ran 3:50.21 for a sizable victory over second place West Babylon.
The team of Janae Pitt, Elicia Moore, Kyra Carroll, and Terri Turner all split low-58 or better for the win, taking back the PA#1 spot that Cheltenham took from them at last week's Ocean Breeze Invitational. Turner had the quickest FAT split with a 56.14 anchor leg.
The Baldwin School clocked another impressive 4x4 to take third in the talented race. The team of Myla Barnett, Jennifer Dietrich, Acey Pratt, and Absara Irgau ran a time of 3:55.49, just off their own PA#3 in the event.

On the boys side, a pair of PA squads showed their strength in the 4x400. Glen Mills took third in the race in a time of 3:23.74 (that was just off their time of 3:23.45 at Ocean Breeze last weekend). Abington was fourth in 3:23.81, a season best for the Ghosts, who sit at PA#3.
