Diamond State Relays - Meet Preview

A few PA squads will make their way to Delaware for the Diamond State Relays in Middletown.

Watch for the Penn Wood relay squads. With their depth, look for the Patriots to rack up some medals this weekend. They went 3:50 in the 4x400 meter relay last week and they will be looking to improve upon that this in DE.

In the 100 meters, watch for Penn Wood's Tatiyana Laylor, who was second at last week's PA Track Classic. She's also entered in the 200 meters. Penn Wood's Janae Pitt will be one of the favorites in both the 100 meter hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles. Expect Pitt to be a force there.

After a strong 800 meters last weekend, Terri Turner of Penn Wood will drop down to the 400 meters this weekend. She's the top seed there. In the 800 meters, Penn Wood's Kyra Carroll is seeded first.

Cardinal O'Hara's Christine Mancini is entered in the 400 meters, while her sister Eleanor Mancini is the top seed in the 3200 meters. After winning last week, O'Hara's Schola Eburuoh is entered once again in the high jump this weekend.

Penn Wood's Dennis Manyeah is the top seed in the high jump. He's coming off a win in the event at the PA Track Classic last week and he'll be looking to improve upon his 6-6 into this weekend. Chester's Braheem Bishop is also entered in the high jump and should contend for the win.

Chester is bringing a squad down as well. Watch for James Jackson in the 110 meter hurdles. He is coming off a strong spring in the event.
