Palisades Pirate Invitational - Meet Recap

Sophie Doman of Palisades ran an impressive 1600/3200 double on her home track, winning both events. She began her successful day running a 5:11.30 in the 1600m and came back to run the 3200m in 11:10.93. Her time in the 3200m ranks 10th fastest in the state thus far. 

Her teammate, Lydia Bottelier, was also busy on the track, winning the 100m, 200m, 400m and high jump. She jumped 5 ft. 6 in. for the win in the high jump clearly proving that she is an athlete to contend with in the area in both the jumps and sprints. 

On the boys side, Josh Pickney of Pennridge took the win in the 100m dash with a time of 11.08 seconds. 

His teammate, Alex Dimon, won both hurdling events. Dimon won the 110m in 15.01, proving he is definitely a top contender in the state in the 110 hurdles. Dimon also came back to win the 300m hurdles.

Another noteworthy performance was Matt Siley of Palisades jumping 43 ft. 5.5 in. in the boy's triple jump.
