Neshaminy Track Classic - Meet Recap
Neumann Goretti had another strong day, picking up plenty of golds along the way. Sydni Townsend and Kamil Jihad each picked up the win in the 400 meter hurdles as well as the 800 meters, in a pair of nice doubles. Townsend went 1:03.57 in the girls' 400 hurdles and then 2:16.74 in the girls' 800. In that 800, she edged current PA#2 Christine Mancini of Cardinal O'Hara by .01.
Jihad pulled off the same double on the boys' side. He went 57.57 in the 400 hurdles and then 1:55.05 in the 800 meters, winning both.
N-G's Mykala Perry won both the 400 meters and the 200 meters on the day. In the 400, Perry went 57.01 and then in the 200 meters, she ran a time of 25.65.
Janese Lynch of Neumann Goretti grabbed a pair of wins in the throws. Lynch threw 44-5 to win the girls' shot put and then 137-8 to win the girls' discus. Both of those throws are PA#2s.
Neshaminy's Hunter Barnett threw 164-1 in the boys' javelin.
Roman Catholic's Sean Brown went 4:25.71 to win the boys' 1600 meters, while Country Day of the Sacred Heart's Emma Seifried took the girls' 1600 meters in 5:22.77.
Saint Basil's Sophia Barnett won the 100 meter hurdles in 15.35.
