AA Boys' 4x800m Relay
The boys from Seneca has been a thrilling team to watch all season long and they'll look to put a cherry on top of a great 2017 with their second straight AA state title. Last year, they went 7:51 to win the state crown. They've already run faster than that and come in as an experienced bunch primed to repeat.
Wyomissing Area won't make it easy for Seneca, though. Wyomissing took second at District 3, but they have a PA-AA#2 of 7:54.51 from earlier in season at their home invite. They have a strong bunch, led by Joe Cullen and could surprise the champs. The District 3 champs from Trinity also have a deep relay squad that can improve on the 8:08 that won them a district title last week.
After that, a number of teams have a shot at the other medals. District 4 is loaded with AA half mile talent. Warrior Run took the win at Williamsport for the D4 title, edging out Mifflinburg and beating Danville Area, but those three teams return as serious threats this weekend. Loyalsock and Mount Carmel are also among the District 4 squads with a good shot at the medal stand.
Central Cambria, Elk County Catholic, and Freeport Area are among the other teams we can't forget about at Ship.
