AACA Championships - Meet Recap
After losing the title last year, the Villa Joseph Marie girls are back on top of the AACA. The Jems had the best depth in the conference, scoring 47 points to defeat Sacred Heart Academy Bryn Mawr.
Individually, Gwynedd-Mercy's impressive freshman Kelly Murray affirmed that she's the favorite for next week's District 1 Class AA race. Murray won the AACA title in 19:50. Now she'll look for another winning performance next Friday at Lehigh for districts.
One of her main competitors for the districts meet in Katie Irelan, who led VJM with a second place finish in 20:05. Scared Heart, led by Kayleigh Doyle, put three girls in the top six and finished second in the team standings to VJM.
