YAIAA Championships - Meet Recap
For the second straight year, Eastern York's Maddie McLain held off a good challenge from Dallastown's Emily Schuler to take the YAIAA title at Gettysburg. McLain clocked a time of 18:15 to nip Schuler (18:16) for the victory.
Schuler's Dallastown team took the county title once again on Tuesday. D'Town scored 47 points for the win as Central York took second with 98 points.
Northeastern took the next two spots after McLain and Schuler. Maddie Warrender was third in 19:15 and Margaret Carroll was fourth in19:30.
Bryce Ohl earned the individual win and the York Suburban squad won the YAIAA yet again on the boys' side. Ohl ran 16:24 for the victory and his teammate Jarrett Raudensky took second in 16:30. YS won with 47 points and Central York took second with 74 points.
Look for York Suburban to go for the District 3-AA title in a week and half at Big Spring.
Dallastown's Bryce Gable took third and the Central York trio of Timmy Buzynski, Jacob Montgomery, and Austin McQuaide took the next three spots.
