Pennsylvania Indoor Week 3 Meets On Tap

TFCAofGP Meet #2 - Meet Preview

*Preview based on entries as of 4pm, 12/22*

The divisions are combined for Saturday's TFCAofGP meet. While it's the first day of winter break for most athletes, they'll be hard at work at Lehigh.

SPRINTS/HURDLES

Imhotep's Kristian Marche will make his season debut on Saturday. The senior is one of the state's top returning sprinters. On Saturday, he'll be the top seed in the 60 meters. Wissahickon's Rasheed Wright and LaSalle's Octavious Carter will be among his top challengers.

The 200 meters will be a great matchup. Truman's Sayyid Saunders will look for a strong race, but Norristown's Austin Montgomery, Neshaminy's Savion Hebron, and Upper Dublin's Michael Henning will be solid as well. In the 400 meters, look for Chester's Malachi Langley (PA#4). He's favored to take the win there, but Pennsbury's Javier Linares will look to be in the mix.

The 60 meter hurdles will be interesting. Saint Joseph's Prep's Miles Green will face off with Pennsbury's Nasan Robbins. Green is PA#2 in the 55 meter hurdles, while Robbins went PA#1 last week in the 60 meter hurdles (8.31). Owen J. Roberts' Scott Honicker, Chester's James Jackson, and Coatesville's Jared Elters are also in this stacked field.

DISTANCE

The mile should be competitive, with names like Hudson Delisle of Quakertown, Matt Eissler of Pennridge, and Jed Scratchard of Pennsbury in a field that should have a few names crack the top ten in the state.

Aidan Sauer was part of a quick Pennsbury 4x800 meter relay, along with Scratchard at last week's TFCAofGP. Now he'll run the open 800 on Saturday. He'll be in a close one that includes Chester's Lamaj Curry, Abington's Josh Coleman, and Boyertown's Josh Endy

In the 3000 meters, Boyertown's Dominic Derafelo is the top seed and LaSalle's Sean Egan should also mix it up near the front.

FIELD

After running a strong 200 meters, Lower Merion's Romaine Rhoden will switch to the runway competing in the long jump. He was third in AAA at outdoor states in the event, so he'll look to continue his solid indoor season on Saturday.

Int he high jump, watch for Wissahickon's Ahmir Johnson and Pennridge's Vincent Polignano. Pennridge's Ryan Sattelle is the top seed in the triple jump.

Yobani Moreno of Bensalem will make his season debut in the shot put. He'll be one worth watching for in the event this winter.
