Thelma Davies (Girard College) - 60 Meters
Davies showed us in her season opener at the Burdette Classic what we already had a good idea about---that she's the one to beat in the 60 meters in both the state and the nation this season.
She's already a two-time state champ in the 60 meters and state record holder at 7.37. At Burdette, Davies opened up with an easy win in 7.45, a US#1. The junior showed she's well ahead of schedule from previous seasons and ready to take on the best of the best once again.
She's entered the VA Showcase later this month down south, and she'll likely make a return trip to New York to try and defend her Millrose 55 meter title. It should be a big season for Davies, and if her start is any indication, it'll be a big one.
