D10-AA Girls- Individuals Breakdown
- Class AA Individuals Rankings
- State Qualifying Spots For Non-Team Individuals: 10
- 2017 Champion: Gianna Labbiento (Sharon) - 18:34
A star emerged out of District 10 Class AA last season with Gianna Labbiento of Sharon. The then-freshman was dominant for much of fall and she put together an amazing race in the mud at Buhl Park to win the D10-AA title by 51 seconds. She then took fourth in AA at the state meet.
Labbiento is once again the one to watch out of District 10 this fall. She had a strong winter and spring on the track and seems poised for another big XC season. AA is loaded in PA for the girls, but Labbiento looks up to the challenge.
With the entrance of Fairview into AA, the individual race gets more interesting. Maddison Hayes and Halle Myers ran to a 1-2 finish in the D10-A race last season. Now the team moves to a new classification. Expect Hayes, Myers and Juliana Robinson -- all top ten D10-A finishers last year -- to make a run at high finishes this fall in AA.
A handful of returners that placed inside the top ten of D10-AA are also back. Leah Prischak of Villa Maria is the presumptive new No. 1 runner for the reigning district team champs. She'll look to improve upon her sixth place finish from a year ago. General McLane's Devyn Bayle was third in the district in 2017. Her teammate Anna Alberti was eighth. Both will be in contention for high finishes and crucial team points this fall.
Harbor Creek's Madeline Curtis (fifth), Conneaut Area's Meaera Shannon, Girard's Cassie Carr, and Oil City's Olivia Mumford (tenth) make up a deep group of talented girls that will compete for high finishes this fall in D10-AA.
