- 2017 Champion: Ian Zimmerman (Northern Bedford) - 17:42
Northern Bedford took the top two spots at the District 5 Class A Championships last fall, led by strong runs by a pair of young runners. Freshman Ian Zimmerman made his presence known in a big way taking the title in 17:42. His teammate Ian Sherlock took second in 17:59. Together, those two are back and will look for a repeat performance this fall.
Windber Area's Tyler Napora will be looking to break up that NB lead pack. Napora was third in the district last year, but his Windber squad captured the team title. Now a senior Napora will look for an individual district title and big team points.
Southern Fulton's Nate Voight and Isaac Fitz and Windber's Matthew Shank are among the other boys back from the top ten in the district last year.
