Last year was all Jenkintown in District 1 Class A, and this year has the potential to be more of the same. At the front will be the same boys, the Drakes' Jack Miller. Miller rolled to the D1-A title last season and then placed third in the state in 1A. He's the top 1A returner based on states finish, and could be looking at a state title come November. Nothing should stop him from claiming another district crown.
Jenkintown swept the first five spots at districts last season, and just one boys -- last year's runner-up Joshua Jackson -- has graduated, so look for a lot of red tops near the front again this season. Luke Miller, Carter Geer, and Pat Wagner each return from the top five in the district. Luke Miller's 49th place states finish was the best from Hershey of that bunch. Matt Visomirski was tenth last year in the district and the Jenkintown rising sophomore will look to bridge the gap to that top pack.
Steven Seachrist of Dock Mennonite is the lone non-Jenkintown returner from the top ten in the district from last year. He will look to break up the sweep this time around and finish high at districts this season.
