Loudoun Valley Sweeps, Parks Flies At PTXC 10

PTXC 10 Boys' Blue Race - Recap

Loudoun Valley's 'B' varsity squad would be a very good varsity team in just about any state. The Vikings showed off their depth in the Blue (B) Race, scoring just 17 points and taking the top four spots.

Noah Peterson of LV took the individual win, running 16:50 for the win, pulling away late from his teammate Jeremiah Mussmon, who took second in 16:51. The next two also ran under 17 minutes with Christian Arellano (third in 16:58) and Taylor Ney (fourth in 16:59). Fifth runner Alec Venable wasn't far behind, taking seventh in 17:01. It was a truly incredible display from the nation's top team.

The top non-LV runner was Saucon Valley sophomore Matthew Chaikowsky, who placed fifth in a time of 16:59. St. Joseph-Metuchen (NJ)'s Ian Wiesinger was sixth in 17:00.

In the team race, Central Bucks West placed second with 118 points, starting off its season well. Boiling Springs also looked strong, taking third with 156 points.
