Individuals Breakdown

It was a 1-2 finish for the Annville-Cleona girls at the District 3 Championships last year, as Braetan Peters captured the title with Cassi Clemson coming in second. Those two would love a repeat of last year with both returning this year. Peters enters her senior year looking for another district title and another state medal; she was 21st at the state meet last year. Clemson was 53rd at the state meet this year after her second place district meet finish.

York Catholic has three girls back that placed inside the top ten of the district last year: Magdalene Motter (fifth), Madelyn McKeeMadelyn McKee (eighth), and Aleya Miller (ninth). Motter was 71st at the state meet.

Newport's Olivia Valentine, who was seventh in the district, and Covenant Christian's Olivia Lentz, tenth, are among the other top ten returners in D3-A this season.

Team Preview

2020 was a strong year for the York Catholic girls, who ran to the district team title with 52 points, seven ahead of second place. This year, York Catholic brings back its full squad from last season that put three inside the top ten at the district meet.

Annville-Cleona will aim to supply a challenge to that top spot. A-C also brings back its full varsity squad from a year ago, led by that strong top two of Peters and Clemson. Those lowsticks are crucial and if the backend of varsity can make some moves, Annville-Cleona could make a run for the district title. Regardless, there are two state spots in D3-A this season and they will be a good bet to qualify through to Hershey.

Delone Catholic was second last year, just a few points off York Catholic for the title. DC loses some key seniors from last year, but could still put it together to make a run at the top two. Camp Hill is a team you can't count out, if they can add some depth, too.
