Harrisburg area's Dominique Darden and Patrick Philbin competed together (well, not in the same race) at the Gator Invitational Sunday February 6 in Gainesville, Florida. Darden, of the University of Miami, posted an NCAA Provisional time of 7.75 seconds in winning the 55 Hurdles. Her 3rd place 23.95 in the 200 was alsoo a Provisional, while her team's 4x400 time of 3:38.20 was just off an auto bid. Philbin was 4th in the 3000 in 8:26.9. He had PR's at 8:23.17 three weeks ago at the University of Kentucky Wildcat Invitational. The Miami women are currently ranked 12th in the US, while the Auburn men are ranked 13th. Both are former state champions, Darden in the 100H, 200 and 400m, and Philbin as #1 runner on the 2001 Cedar Cliff AAA cross country champions.
