First real workout after my cold...Yeah, didn't go too well. I was wheezing and couldn't breath even though I had just split the same times I ran in the 400s today as I ran the 1000s last week. Doh. I was really mentally in the workout as well because I was so distraught that I was wheezing, which probably contributed to the scuse me, shii....crappy workout. But the important thing was that I still got through it without a huge physical struggle, but more of a mental one. Yeah, the breathing thing is physical, but if one thing doesn't go the way you expect it to, then at least keep the other aspect positive. So it didn't go great....well, I just had a cold so again comes the whole patience thing...Let me body recover, don't get paranoid that I am out of shape, stay patient with my body because it takes longer than I think to recover etc..

So onto this whole marathon subject that I've sporadically been talking about....well, I guess I saw it coming. I always said if I could get real good in the 10k, I would like to focus on that...but if THAT didn't work out, I would move on to marathoning. hahahahha I always say that for me, the longer the better, but man oh man, that is ROUGH! I have some time though... First I have to run a couple solid 10ks and then some solid half marathons before I move up to the big mama category of a marathon!!! I am excited about my whole career and I am really enjoying being a baby in this pro world!

So today, after my day off, I tried it again...:-)

In the morning I did a easy run. The legs felt better and I was so happy to do a run. But I still was a little weak.

On this run, I really realized how much I like to run. I realize that always once can`t run.

Luckily Josi, Claudia and co. didn`t run too fast, because of their workout in the afternoon. So it went well.

After luchtime, Josi was tired and fell asleep (she looked so sweet:-) ) while I had to study again for school...

I could do a lot of work, because I was motivated again. When I can`t go on a run, then I am really not able to do something for school.

Later we both went shopping and I finally found a restaurant where I could enjoy a good cappuccino.

Here in Portugal it`s really difficult to get a real cappuccino. Because when you order a cappuccino you mostly get a coffee with tons of whipped cream instead of milk. But its so cheap compared to Switzerland.

Oh, I am looking forward to Tirrenia (Italy) where the coffee is so delicious.:-)....and cheap, too. We go to Tirrenia in April for another training camp.

In the afternoon, I did a longer run than in the morning while the others were on the track. Mmmmman, it was hard to watch them because I wanted to go on the track to do a workout too. But it was the right decision not to do it, because my immune system wasn`t recovered yet.

My run went well, I felt better. I think that I will do my next workout on Thursday...yay...:-)

Today was an easy run day. I really enjoyed my runs and took them easy to really let my body recover. Our group had to leave us today so that was sad, saying good bye. Now it is just Asi, Claudia, FritzBoss and I. We will miss our whole group! But Claudia, Astrid, and I are happy we have a couple extra days since we all caught colds and missed workouts here in this beautiful weather! When I run my continuous runs, I don't feel my breathing problem, it is only when I work out when I start feeling like someone is pushing a brick onto my chest and breathing through a straw. Today was pretty much just a mileage day to get ready for our double workout on Thursday and Friday.

Fritz-Boss planned to do two easy runs.

In the morning we did the last run with our group and then we just had to say good-bye.

My legs felt better and better and I am so motivated and happy about it. Both runs went well.:-)

Tomorrow I will do my workout, I am already excited about it. I can`t wait to do it.

Now, our group is so small. There are only four people left.

But I am sure that we will have a good time together.

I am so glad to have some more days to train under the good conditions here in Portugal.
