The Bison Track & Cross Country Boosters are sponsoring the 1st Annual Bison Stampede Junior High Track Invitational for 7th & 8th grade students. The meet will be held on Saturday, April 12 2014 at the Clearfield Area High School beginning at 11:00 am. A coaches scratch meeting will be held at 10:15 am. The meet will be run by PIAA officials so all rules will be enforced, including sportsmanship. Trophies will be awarded to the overall Boys and Girls team, as well as an overall MVP for the Boys/Girls track and field. Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for each event.

The entry deadline is Wednesday, April 09, at 12:00 noon. All entries are to be made online (pa.milesplit.us/pages/Online_Meet_Reg_Instructions). No additional athletes can be added to an event on the day of the invitational; only deletions. The invitational will consist of entire teams and/or individuals. We ask that all contestants be accompanied by a coach, parent or other adult.

The registration fee for each athlete competing is $10.00 dollars. A team fee over 10 athletes per team - Girls is $100.00 dollars and Boys is $100.00 dollars. Make checks payable to Clearfield Track & C. C. Boosters. Checks can be mailed in advance to Nate Glunt, Junior High Track Coach, 602 Mill Road, Clearfield, PA 16830 or can be handed to the meet director the day of the invitational.

Each athlete may compete in no more than four events. A team/school can only enter a maximum of four entries per event. However, a team may enter two relays( Designated - A/B) per event "A" will score and "B" will run exhibition. Preliminary heats will be run in the 100/110 Hurdles and the 100 M Dash. Finals will be based on times and not places in the heats. Only the top 6 times will advance to the finals following the 3200 M Relays.

Athletes can enter in the following events: Track - 100 M Hurdles/110 M Hurdles, 100 M Dash, 3200 M Relay, (BREAK - 20 minutes), FINALS(100h, 110H, 100 Dash), 1600 M Run, 400 M Dash, 400 M Relay, 300 M Hurdles (30"/33"), 800 M Run, 200 M Dash, 3200 M Run, 1600 M Relay. Field - Shot Put (6lbs./ 8lbs.), Discus (1 kg), Pole Vault Long Jump, Triple Jump and High Jump. Note: NO JAVELIN will be offered.

Please inform athletes and parents that a concession stand will be open throughout the event for food and drinks, as well as, a chicken barbeque that will include a ½ chicken, cole slaw, baked beans and dessert for $9.00 dollars. Chicken barbeque tickets may be purchased at the concession stand.

T- Shirts will also be available at the concession stand.
