Blue Streak Relays

Lancaster, PA

Meet Information

The twenty-third annual Blue Streak Relays will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 starting at 9:30am. Our stadium and track consist of an all-weather 8-lane track, jumping surfaces and runways. ONLY 1/8” SPIKES ARE PERMITTED ON THE ALL-WEATHER SURFACES. The shot and discus circles are concrete while the javelin runway is grass. All of the throwing event areas are on the west end (scoreboard) of the stadium. The shot is next to the home stands, the javelin is behind the scoreboard and the discus is just outside the stadium fence west of the javelin area. The horizontal jumps are west of the visitor’s stands and we use separate vaulting pits at the east side of the stadium to run the boys and girls pole vault at the same time.

All track events will be run as finals, with places determined on time. A tentative time schedule of the events is included with this mailing. All running event relays will consist of 4 person relays. All throwing events and horizontal jumps will consist of 2 person relays, with places determined by adding together the best distance of each person. Each athlete will be given 3 trials. The pole vault and high jump will also consist of 2 person relays, with places determined by adding together the best heights of each person. Starting heights will be: girls’ high jump 4’ 4”; boys’ high jump 5’ 4”; girls’ pole vault 7’ 0”; and boys’ pole vault 9’ 6”. Meet scoring will be the top 6 place winners and medals are awarded to all 6 places in each event. A team champion and runner-up award will be given to the top two girls’ teams and the top two boys’ teams.

The entry fee for 2017 is $150.00 per boys or girls team. Schools entering both a girls and boys team should submit an entry fee of $300.00. In addition, we have a pay per relay option if you to only bring a few relay teams to the event. Schools may enter individual events using the following payment fee: $30.00 for each track event relay and $20.00 for each field event relay. Checks should be made payable to the Manheim Township Track and Field Booster Club. If interested in participating or questions contact, Mark Linn, Meet Director at
