PA Salute To Seniors: Joseph Ho, Mgr Bonner & Arch Prendie HS

Joseph Ho - Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast HS

-What was your most memorable race/competition?
It was My senior year at the Burdette Indoor Classic. In the finals I ended up coming third to Todd Townsend and Wellington Zaza qualifying for states as well. It was the first race in which I was actually able to contend with those guys and be considered on that level. It meant a lot. I can't forget to mention later that day in the 4X200 me & my teammates bliss and juwan coined that phrase Hawk Time !

-Where did you face your biggest competition
Racing Todd, Zaza, Lassiter & Agrio all year was so tough. But racing at indoor states on that big of stage versus those guys and others forced me to be better, something I won't ever forget.

-Out of all of your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?
My biggest high school accomplishment came at indoor states placing 9th overall and PRing in that state meet.

-If you could do it all over again, what would you change about your athletic career in high school?
Honestly there's nothing I would really do over. Maybe I could have pursued the field events or tried to run the 400h. I'm just truly blessed for it all really.

-What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
I think the most difficult obstacle was trying to go from the 60h to the 110h… those five extra hurdles are so tough

-What will you miss the most?
I'm gonna miss the high school racing atmosphere but more importantly I’ll miss hanging and practicing with my teammates. I loved going away and bonding with one another great times !

-Do you have any advice for younger athletes
Keep working even when things don’t look great. trust God and your training because Hard work always pays off.

-How have your coaches influenced your performances and your life goals overall?
My first Coach, Roosevelt Turner meant a lot to me. he believed me when I was just starting track and never gave up on me. Senior year Coach Ant Carr was awesome in preparing me. he made me a better on and off the track and made senior year great and for that I can't thank him enough.

-What are your college plans
I'm headed to Temple University to study Pharmacy. I do plan on continuing my running career at Temple.

-Shout-Outs
I'd like to give a shout out to all my teammates especially my power circle Joe Sullivan, Bliss Harris, Kevin Montgomery & Juwan Parker. I can't forget my prendie teammates who meant so much to me especially Brehon but Lauren Amirah Sara Dever and especially my awesome hurdling buddy Cate ianovale.
