US#2 UNIONVILLE GIRLS

The Unionville girls proved that their victory over Fayetteville-Manlius was not just a one time deal. The quality and magnitude of their performance at McQuaid sent shockwaves around the country. On a windy Saturday afternoon in New York, Unionville looked to live up to their US#2 team rankings and they did just that. Led by a 3rd place finish from Courtney Smith and a 7th place finish from Olivia Young, Unionville earned their 2nd victory of the season over the 7 time defending national champions in the Eastern States Race by a score of 89-92. Pennsbury also earned a top five finish in the race, finishing 4th with 159 points led by a 13th place finish by Olivia Sargent.
