3/3 INDOOR WEEK #13 SUMMARY

On Saturday, PA shot putters ventured to Ohio for another meet, and came away with wins in both the girls and boys competitions at the AKRON LAST CHANCE RUBBER CITY OPEN at the University of Akron. Jade Hambrick, North Allegheny, threw 10-06, while teammate Garrett Larkin went 55-08. Sean Gil, North Allegheny, took 2nd in the pole vault, clearing 15-02, and Pine-Richland's Zach Meverden cleared 14-08 for 3rd. North Allegheny's Kristen Zeleznik took 3rd in the girls pole vault at 10-00. In day one of the KENT STATE HS OPEN #3, Wunmi Fapohunda of Gateway, leapt 16-010.75 to win the long jump. Cedar Cliff's Kassie Meholick was 2nd in the 3200 in 11:04.67. Central Cambria's Carly Seymour ran 5:19.41 for 3rd in the mile. Da'Lynn Mills of Seneca Valley was 2nd in the 200 in 25.55 and 5th in the 55 dash in 7.30. On Sunday, Weston Schaa of Mercer cleared 6-07 to win the high jump. Pole vaulters Andrew Campolongo and Jared George were 2nd and 3rd, clearing 14-00 and 13-06.25, respectively. Jonathan Kowal of Ambridge took 4th in the 55 hurdles in 7.72 seconds. McDowell's Brice Myers ran 24.06 for 200, 51.52 for 400 and 7.87 in the prelims of the 55 hurdles. Mercer took 4th in the 4x800 in 8:18.93.
