PA Salute To Seniors: Khalil Williams - Delaware Valley Charter HS
What was your most memorable race/competition?
My most memorable race was at Pub Champs when I went 49 for the first time in my open 4 and won the Pub title of 400m king and D-12 Districts when I became D-12 champ in the 4.
Where did you face your biggest competition?
I faced my biggest competition at states when I took my first loss of the outdoor season to the eventual winner of the 4.
Out of all of your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?
My whole 12th grade track season, I got so many medals (2 states medals), made new friends, and showed people who doubted me or underestimated what I can do.
If you could do it all over again, what would you change about your athletic career in high school?
I would have ran my freshman year and told my current high school coach that I was a sprinter.
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
The most difficult obstacle to overcome was having to juggle baseball and track on top of school. I felt like dropping out at times but I am way too smart to do that.
What will you miss the most?
I will miss having fun with some of my brothers, running with them and fooling around with them. I will also miss my Pub fam.
Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
Do not underestimate anyone, at any time, do not run with an injury, it will only make it worst, and show up at the meets because practice and meets are two different things.
How have your coaches influenced your performances and your life goals overall?
My coaches influenced me to become more of a reliable person and follow my dreams and let no removable object stop me because God has my back.
What are your college plans?
I plan on attending Neumann University and plan on studying Accounting and Business Management.
God, my mother, Phil, BTC Boys (Reeky, Naldo, Rell, Loni, Cir, Aaron, and Joe), Rob, Gary, Sib, other members of the Del Val track team, our arch rivals/friends Imhotep Panthers, my Pub fam, Chanel, and Shali.
