The Class A division is guaranteed a new champion after 2013 winners Lakeland were bumped up to AA. Elk Lake and Holy Cross will look to fill the void the champions left behind and rise to the top of the district. Holy Cross returns their entire top 7 this season, a group that was only 22 points behind Elk Lake. The runners up, Elk Lake, bring back their top four and five of their top 7.
Dunmore’s Matt Murray returns with last season’s best performance (16:32) and is the only returner with a sub 17 minute clocking. Murray was 4th at last season’s district meet, with only Jake McGovern of Holy Cross the only returner who finished ahead of him in that race.
