Minersville enter the new season as champions of the division and they will have the leadership of district winner Wesley Yutko to help lead their title defense. Minersville return six of the top seven that defeated Schuylkill Haven by one point. Schuylkill Haven only return three runners from that squad. One of them will be district runner up Sam Brennan. Newcomers from the AA division, Notre Dame East Stroudsburg, will be led by the only sub 17 minute returner in the division. Mike Sheptuk was a state qualifier out of AA last season and will be favored to win the Class A crown. He will lead a team that will have six of their top seven back and they are expected to challenge for the lone state qualifying berth.
