10/17 WKND: Clahane wins again! State College sweeps! Strath Haven girls reclaim Central League crown!

Mady Clahane of Cumberland Valley became the 3rd female runner in the state to break the 18 minute mark this season on her way to defending her league title. Clahane ran 17:54 to hold off her fierce rival Abby Yourkavitch of Chambersburg by nearly 30 seconds.

Behind Clahane, State College received big performances from their top three runners Natasha Fedkina, Catherine Curtin, and Sarah Almarzooqi, as they finished 4-6-7 to lead their team to the league championship. State College scored 69 points to defeat Carlisle by 36. Cumberland Valley finished in 3rd.

For the boys, Duke signee Matt Wisner of Carlisle needed all 5000 meters to ensure a league title win, running 16:04 to hold off Kyler Shea of Lower Dauphin by only 3 seconds and Nick Feffer of State College by 4 seconds.

Feffer and Alex Milligan (5th) led State College to a sweep of the league titles, scoring 78 points with a 54 second spread to win by just 11 points over Hershey. Lower Dauphin finished in 3rd, one point better than Carlisle.
