When it comes to the distance events, it's always hard to know who will run what on states day. Will anyone try a double? Will they just focus on one event? What about relays? With that caveat, here's a list of the top returnees in the mile.

Jake Brophy heads the list after his 4:17 he ran at indoor states last year. He's the top finishing returner from states last year, but a lot has changed in a year. Brophy's off in (probably) sunny San Diego right now, so we won't see him race until after the new year most likely. There's a lot of other names on the list and not on the list who could contend.
