Boys Performer of the Week: Dennis Manyeah (Penn Wood)

This past week's boys performer of the week, as voted on by the site's viewers is Penn Wood's Dennis Manyeah. Manyeah had a big week that saw him grab a pair of PA#1 performances. At the first DELCO meet last Monday, he cleared 6-4 in the high jump to grab the win and the top spot in the state rankings. He followed that up with an impressive 1:22.08 600 meter race at the Bishop Loughlin Games in Staten island. Manyeah is proving to be one of the state's most versatile athletes, posting good marks in both the jumps and middle distance events.

Manyeah won a close racer the title of indoor performer of the week over Seneca Valley's Mike Kolor (4:18 mile at the Armory) and Knoch's Jordan Geist (US#1 68-6 Shot Put and PA#1 72-8 Weight Throw)

Girls Performer of the Week: Alexandria Kitchell (Springside Chestnut Hill)

Alexandria Kitchell spent most of his freshman season focusing on the 200m and 400m. Now a sophomore, Kitchell from Springside Chestnut Hill, looks to have moved up to the longer sprints/middle distance. For now, that bump up appears to be paying off. A few weeks ago, she posted a great 800 time. And this week at Bishop Loughlin, Kitchell ran the second fastest 600 meter time of the day, 1:35.99. That time is an impressive PA#1 for one of PA's newest talents.

Kitchell narrowly edged out Pennridge freshman Kouri Peace for the performer of the week crown. Peace has had a tremendous start to her career that included a PA#1 300 meter win at DVGTCA #2. Peace is another one to keep on the radar moving forward.
