The Millrose Games got off to a hot start for the Keystone State on Thursday night. Red Lion's Greg Potter won the high school competition, clearing a big PR to take the win. Potter's 14-10 was almost seven inches better than second place.
This has been a banner 2016 season for Potter, who has improved in leaps and bounds. Since the start of the new year, Potter has consistently been over 14 feet in compeititon. But Thursday's Millrose vault was a four inch personal best for the junior. That moves Potter up to PA#4.
Hatboro-Horham's Nick Marino was also in the field, taking fourth place with a clearance of 14-3.25. Payton Morris of East Pennsboro was fifth, also at 14-3.25. Stroudsburg's Amir Abdelnaby was sixth, clearing 13-3.5.
