1/17-Deja vu for PA HS pole vaulters @ PSU

Melanie Buczko (Buter), Kourtney Marquis (Pennsbury) and Lauren Birckhead (Liberty) must have thought they had heard the Regan name for the last time at the 2003 PIAA state outdoor championships. At least until Courtney Regan joins the collegiate ranks in 2004. But no, there she was, another Regan, older sister Katie, a sophomore at Cornell. Two weeks ago at the Cornell Open, Katie cleared 10-0 for the win. She had only been vaulting since the summer. But yesterday, at the US Coaches Association meet at Penn State University, Regan cleared 10-11.75 to finish 7th, tied for height with Marquis (5th) and Birckhead (8th). Buczko won the meet with a clearance of 12-05.50. Anybody heard of three sisters pole vaulting like that?
