In Monaca, some top talents will be on display in another good early season meet. This is the 6th Annual Warrior Classic hosted by Central Valley.

All eyes will be on Beaver Falls' Domenic Perretta, who will make his outdoor season debut, fresh off his first (and very successful) indoor season. Perretta is entered in the 400, 800 and 1600, so we'll see which he opts to run. He'll be favored in each event. He's coming off a near indoor state record at nationals in the 800 and we'll see what this outdoor season will have to offer Perretta.

Aliquippa's Antwan Brooks will be the one to watch in the sprints. Brooks will be favored in the 100 and 200 meter dashes. He's coming off a solid indoor season and will look to follow that up with an even better outdoor season.

In the high hurdles, look out for Fred Urbaniak of Slippery Rock. He dipped under 15 seconds last season in the event last season and after a nice indoor season, he will look to do that more this spring.

In the discus and shot put, Hickory's Evan Blaire will look to pick up where he left off after an impressive indoor campaign. He'll be favored in both of those throws events.

Trinity Christian's Tyler Carter will return to the runway for the first time since last year. The reigning AA state champ will look for more this season in the long and triple jumps.

On the girls' side, Hickory's Tori McKinley will open up her outdoor season, competing in the shot put.

Bethany Evankovich of General McLane will make her outdoor invitational debut in the 400 on Saturday. She's clearly the strongest in the field and will be shooting for that PA#1 spot.

In the 100, Our Lady of Scared Heart's Monica Lohmann will square off with Hickory's Heather Grober in what should be a close race. Grober is also entered and favored in the 300 meter hurdles.

Seton LaSalle's Raja Rutherford will compete in the 100, 200 and the long jump. The versatile athlete should be one to watch in a number of events this season.

Vincentian Academy's Marianne Abdalah is entered in all three distance events. Whatever she runs, the junior will be the one to watch, as she looks to start her season off well.
